This week has been a pretty exciting one for Team Aeron. The Empath has brought a smile to my face ever since those opening lines flowed out onto the page before my eyes. It’s been a book of firsts for me. Along with being a debut novel which brought me to Bedazzled and connected me to some incredible folks, it has expanded the world around me. Last Sunday, I was part of a panel on empaths on the Liz McMullen show:

It was a pretty exciting experience to be on a panel with Lorraine Howell, Yvonne Heidt, Linda K Silva and the wonderful Liz McMullen herself. I am happy to report that I was terrified but I hope that somewhere in the babble I made some sense… ish.

Today also saw The Empath get an honorable mention in the Rainbow Awards. They say that,

“Waiting for the winners to be announced on December 8, I will post daily the 2014 Rainbow Awards Honorable Mentions: an honorable mention means a judge gave a rate of 36 or above out of 40 to the book; an honorable mention doesn’t mean the book is among the winners or runners up, could be could be not, but it’s important to understand there were more than 500 books in the literary contests, more than 250 among the finalists, and the difference between winners or not is only few decimal points…”

There are some pretty big authors and fantastic ones at that in the awards so to get through to the final was a massive ‘dance about’ moment. To get a mention alongside fellow Bedazzled Authors Clare Baxter Trautman and Ann McMan & Salem West makes it a ‘dance about like a no one is watching’ moment. The judge’s comment made me smile from ear to ear (so whoever you are, thank you very much for the kind words. I really do appreciate it.)

New to me author and a born storyteller.

That definitely put a spring in my… er… wheeling, a smile on my face and guess how I’m going to be celebrating….
