At sixteen, Aeron Lorelei is imprisoned in Serenity Hills for the murder of her best friend’s brother. Over a decade later, a mysterious psychiatrist walks into her life and changes it beyond recognition.
What follows is not simply seven action-packed adventures woven around an epic, slow-burning romance, but one continuous journey of hope, healing, friendship and the discovery that family is not always the one you’re born into.
Each novel sees Aeron and her extraordinary counterparts, Commander Renee Black and the indomitable Ursula Frei, overcome impossible odds, scale seemingly insurmountable mountains and rescue those long forgotten, abandoned or exploited by the powerful.
Every character matters.
Every choice has consequences.
All things are possible.
Whether you’re discovering the series for the first time or returning to visit old friends, here’s the journey—one book at a time.

Book 2
Blind Trust
‘I had a spotter every time,’ Aeron said, holding up two fingers. ‘Scouts’ honor.’ ‘You were never a scout and you’re a terrible liar.’ Renee tried to scowl, she really did, but something bubbled inside. It started in the pit of her stomach, rumbled and rolled and built momentum up into her legs, her chest, her arms, her neck, and then the joy burst from her mouth before she could stop it. Laughter. She was laughing. She was laughing so hard her ribs ached. ‘Some folks get a bit giggly,’ Aeron said to Frei who looked concerned beyond words.

Aeron Lorelei has struggled through C.I.G’s prestigious Bootcamp and is all set for the next phase of her training with the legendary protection officer, Commander Renee Black. Aeron should be a well-oiled, elite agent ready to take on any assignment and Renee should be happy to see her… should be…
When an avalanche gatecrashes their journey and they are secluded in a welcoming little town in the Colorado mountains, helping the local rescue operation seems to melt the ice between them.
Only that’s when Renee shoots a man in the middle of the street in broad daylight and sinks into a non-communicative state. Aeron only has until the roads are cleared to try and prove Renee’s innocence which means trusting her heart and using those burdens she dislikes so much all over again.
But with Renee fading fast, the Sheriff unwilling to listen, and the unsuspecting town about to be besieged by a military-grade killer, their sole hope is one lumbering Missourian who barely made it through training.
All things are possible, right?
‘Aeron is back and as badass as ever…. From snow bound mountain rescues to the gentle rescuing of those locked in their own minds, you’ll be spell bound and on the edge of your seat as Aeron does her thing. Loved this—gobbled it up in a few hours (hours when I should really have been sleeping…)—and can’t wait for more.’

Book 3
Untrained Eye
Frei pressed the side of her helmet and the glass slid up. ‘You know bikes pretty well. You look better on a bike. So this week, I’m teaching you how to act like you look.’ ‘Which is?’ I cocked my head, trying to fiddle with my helmet. Frei pressed the button again and her visor slid back down. ‘Badass, Lorelei. Badass.’
— Untrained Eye

“These are amazing characters and unusual plots. Jody Klaire manages to mix up a thriller crime drama with a psychic whodunit and an ever so slowly burning romance. It’s a wonderful action adventure story… Add in humour, great dialogue, brilliant writing and these books are just a joy.”
